How early should I arrive for my first appointment?

Please arrive 15 minutes early so we can complete intake, ID and insurance scans, and get you comfortable before your evaluation begins.

What should I wear?

Comfortable, loose-fitting clothing that allows full movement of the affected area. Athletic shoes are ideal — especially for gait, balance, or lower-extremity evaluations.

Do I need a physician referral?

No. Florida is a direct-access state, so you can begin physical therapy at Nexus for up to 30 days without a referral. We will coordinate with your physician as needed.

What insurance do you accept?

We accept Medicare, most major commercial insurance plans, Workers' Compensation, and Auto/PIP claims. We'll verify your benefits at no cost before your first visit.

How long is a typical visit?

Initial evaluations run about 60 minutes. Follow-up visits are typically 45–60 minutes of one-on-one time with your therapist — never assembly-line care.

How many visits will I need?

It depends on your diagnosis, goals, and how your body responds. Most patients see meaningful progress in 6–12 visits; your therapist will outline a clear plan after your evaluation.

Can I cancel or reschedule online?

Do you serve patients outside Gainesville?
